When submitting an application to ASME, a proforma invoice will be generated that at a minimum will include the advance deposit and certificate fees.
All new application proforma invoices in a addition to the advance depsoit and certificate fees will include stamps and postage fees.
A Final Invoice will be generated for your company once the audit is completed and/or you request to have your application withdrawan from ASME. The Final Invoice may result in a balance due for your company.

Note: Where ASME appoints an ASME designee to conduct the review, ASME requires an advance review deposit (which will be applied to the cost of the review) in addition to certificate, Certification Mark fees and postage. The review deposit is required for the following:
- All H (Cast Iron and/or Cast Aluminum) and RP reviews.
- All reviews where the jurisdiction (state or province) is the Authorized Inspection Agency.
- Reviews in states and territories where ASME conducts the review (Idaho, Wyoming, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands).
- A review deposit to ASME is not required for V, HV, UV, UV3, UD, TV, and TD certificates.

QPS Initial Certification Pricing
The fixed price includes the price of the Certificate, Auditor Activities and Expenses to initiate and complete a Survey (Stage I and Stage II), and, when applied, the Additional Resource.
Is on a fixed pricing model based on a predefined Class structure. The Class type, six in total, is determined by the number of employees at the location covered under the QPS Quality Program. Depending on the complexity of the program and organizational structure, an Additional Resource fee may be applied. The Additional Resource fee, when applied, is discussed with the applicant when an application has been submitted. The fixed price is established when the application has been accepted by ASME.
QPS Maintenance Certification Pricing
Is on a fixed pricing model based on a predefined Class structure for companies that have obtained a QPS Certificate and are seeking to maintain the certification status of its QPS quality program as an active ASME recognized program. The Class type, six in total, is determined by the number of employees at the location covered under the QPS Quality Program. Depending on the complexity of the program, organizational structure, results of past assessments, an Additional Resource fee may be applied. The fixed price is established 5 months in advance of the annual audit. The fixed price is an all-inclusive price which includes the activities to initiate and complete the audit, the expenses of the auditor, and when applied, the Additional Resource.

Advance Deposit
ASME events are scheduled upon receipt of an advance deposit.
- For initial issuance, 50% of the amount on the proforma invoice is required
- For annual maintenance of QPS certification, full payment of the amount on the proforma invoice is required

Cancellation Fee Schedule:
**The fees listed below will be charged in addition to any non-refundable travel expenses made by the ASME audit team due to ASME assesment dates being scheduled.
- Withdrawal of application prior to scheduling: $1,100.00
- Withdrawal of application and/or Cancellation after Acceptance, Postponement of offered dates, or Not Acknowledging offered dates**: $2,200.00
- Withdrawal of application and/or Cancellation of scheduled dates within 2 months of the event date**: $3,850.00
- Withdrawal of application and/or Cancellation of scheduled dates within 1 month of the event date**: $6,600.00
Certificate Revisions: $300.00 each occurrence: If you are an AIA, BPE, MO, NQA, QPS or RTP certificate holder, a manual review or onsite audit may be required to execute requested certificate revision.
- Certificate Scope Change - For programs requiring a manual review by an ASME Team Leader, such as, AIA, BPE, MO, NQA, and RTP, the change fee will be $1,250.00 each occurrence

- ASME's policy is that all applicant companies submit requested certificate(s) fees, stamp fees, postage fee and advance deposit prior to being scheduled.
- It is required that renewal applications, certificate fees, and advance deposit be received by ASME at least six months prior to the expiration date of current certificate(s).
- Cancellation of survey dates and withdrawal of applications is subject to a monetary penalty.
- If the applicant withdraws their application after the remittance is received by ASME, there is an administrative fee of $1,100.00, which will be deducted from the original remittance.
